Creative Writing - - Good Writing Habits
By Deb Gallardo
I received this excerpt in an email today from “The Morning Nudge,” a short daily email that nudges writers to write a little each day, by author Suzanne Lieurance. I find this information below, as I typically do in each day’s “Nudge,” extremely useful. If published writers do this, it stands to reason those who are NOT published should make this their practice:
“People who expect writing to be easy don’t usually write very much.
When they sit down to write and the words don’t flow, they tend to give up and move on to something else.
Published writers tend to make writing a habit.
They establish a regular writing schedule and sit down to write on a regular basis.”
To subscribe to “The Morning Nudge,” go to http://www.workingwriterscoach.com/ and sign up. You’ll also receive the free ebook “Get Your Freelance Writing Career Off the Ground.” This is not a junk freebie, by the way. You’ll find lots of useful information therein.

Hi, Deb,
I’m glad you find the Morning Nudge helpful. And it really is true that published writers have it no easier than nonpublished writers do when it comes to doing the actually writing.
You just have to show up every day at your desk and sit there until you get some works down on paper or on your computer screen.
Happy writing!
